Strange Lights in the Night Sky
Have you ever seen strange lights in the sky that you couldn’t identify? I have a few times, most however I was able to identify at a later date. Two incidents, one last month, however, still mystifys me.
At about 3:00 AM PST, somewhere around the middle of November, (Now that I have this blog, I wish I had paid more attention to the exact date and time…) I went outside for a smoke and happened to look up into the sky. What I saw in the cloudless, almost starless night, was an almost full moon and to the left of the moon was a large bright white light. If you look at my sketch in this post, you’ll see the rough size and position of the light.
The light was as I said white, glowing and didn’t appear to be moving; it was for all intents and purposes, stationary.
I’m not sure what this light was. I don’t think it was a planet or star as the size seemed to be too large. When I related my experience to my partner, he was of the opinion that it was a UFO, in the saucer sense. I’m not sure about that myself. I suppose it could have been. I was actually thinking that it could have been a space station or satellite.
This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this type of unknown light object in the sky. Last year I also saw exactly the same thing and it was exactly in the same position in the sky.
Strange to say the least… I’ll have to see if I can come up with any answers to this puzzle.
