Researching Myths, Legends and Folklore on the Web
I’ve said it before, although, perhaps not at this blog, but I love the internet. It contains among other things, a huge goldmine of information and texts on myths, legends and folklore.
Where possible and when appropriate, I link to some of those references in my posts. Wikipedia of course has become one of the great sources. Its not a totally accurate source at times but it is one source that can be checked.
Another source of info that I discovered when I first came on to the internet way back when, is Project Gutenberg.
Recently, I was checking out the Project Gutenberg site for books on mythology and similar things and I came across these interesting titles:
- Custom and Myth
- Myths of Babylonia and Assyria
- Myths and Legends of All Nations
- Myths and Legends of China
