The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor Reviewed

'The Mummy: Tomb Of The Dragon Emperor' Movie PosterThis week, I actually went and saw a movie that I’ve really wanted to see this year — The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

And unlike, another movie that I really wanted to see, this one lived up to my expectations. In short, I loved the latest movie in The Mummy series.

In The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, the action shifts to China where adventurer Rick O’Connell (Brendan Fraser again) son Alex (Luke Ford), wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and her brother, Jonathan (John Hannah) along with a sorceress (Michelle Yeoh) and her daughter Lin (Isabella Leong) have to battle a shape shifting evil warlord Emperor Han (Jet Li) and his Terracotta Army.

As if having a shape shifting stone-like immortal warlord (he turns into a dragon) and his terracotta minnons isn’t enough, there’s also Yetis! If you haven’t seen the movie yet I won’t ruin it except to say there’s some awesome Yetis in this story as well; keep your eyes peeled.

My only disapointment was that Rachel Weisz didn’t come back to reprise her role as Evelyn. I didn’t know before hand that she wouldn’t be in it as I hadn’t paid attention to the rumour mill and the credits before seeing this latest Mummy movie. However, Maria Bello did do what I thought was a pretty good job of the character. So that was good.

All in all, I thought that The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was a great sequel and well worth spending the money to go and see it in the theaters.

Will there be yet another sequel to this movie? I don’t know but there are rumors on the net that there is and there’s a clue at the end of the movie that there could well be…
