Video: The West Lothian Question

Background: Lately in the Scottish press there’s been a renewed interest in a 1979 UFO/alien contact case known as the Robert Taylor Incident, sometimes also referred to as the Livingston Incident, the Dechmont Woods Encounter or more recently as The West Lothian Incident or even The West Lothian Question.

I’ve mentioned some of the articles — all of which are due to the 30th Anniversary of this strange and unsolved event. Some of the articles mention a documentary about this case being made and even available. Until the other day though I hadn’t come across an article* that gave a link to said video.

The Basic Story: On November 9, 1979, Bob Taylor, a forestry worker had an encounter with a UFO in Dechmont Law hill near Livingston, West Lothian, Scotland. Taylor claimed that the spacecraft dragged him along the ground and also gassed and incapicated him. The incident was investigated by the Scottish Lothian and Borders Police who filed it as a criminal assault. Taylor stood by his story right until his death in 2007. The case is considered one of the most significant “Close Encounters” in Scotland and remains open.
